Miss Grand Malaysia, which was held virtually, has successfully finished its selection process and is pleased to announce the three queens who will represent Malaysia at Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental, and The Miss Globe.

  • Lishalliny Kanaran  (Miss Grand Malaysia 2021)

  • Poorani Rajoo (49th Miss Intercontinental in Egypt)

  • Malveen Kaur (The Miss Globe 2021 in Albania)

The fastest growing national pageant selection took place virtually throughout the month of July 2021where 23 candidates from all over Malaysia participated, with the support of its partners and sponsors including Bangi Avenue Convention Centre, Avenue Garden Hotel, Unilavender, Jonathan Yun Jewellery, Dr Bunga Medii Skin Studio Taman Desa, Note Cosmetics, Dorosiwa, Bikin Malaysia, Wee Angel Fitness, and Ronald McDonald’s House of Charity Malaysia.

Jude Benjamin Lisa, National Director, Miss Grand Malaysia said;

“We are extremely proud to welcome the three queens who will assume national responsibility. Amidst the ongoing pandemic severity in our country, we were able to continue the selection virtually and hope these ladies will continue their respective good works especially with the community.”

Lishalliny Kanaran, a 24-year-old architecture student from Shah Alam, Selangor, emerged victorious in her third attempt at the national title to become Miss Grand Malaysia 2021. Lisha is expected to build on the success of her predecessor, Jasebel Robert, who finished Top 10 at the Miss Grand International 2020 pageant earlier this year in Bangkok, Thailand.

The international competition is expected to be held in the same host country where the Miss Grand International organisation’s headquarters are located.

Poorani Rajoo, the new Miss Intercontinental Malaysia 2021, and Malveen Kaur, the new Miss Malaysia Globe 2021, will also have the opportunity to represent the country on the international stage. Both are expected to compete in their respective international pageants in Egypt (Miss Intercontinental, October 12 – 29) and Albania (The Miss Globe, 20 October – 6 November).

The organisation, which holds the national licence for the country’s three international pageants, hopes to continue to deliver as part of the continuing effort to empower young women across the country while also providing a platform for local entrepreneurs and brands to collaborate with as a marketing avenue to recover from the pandemic’s economic downturn.

We wish the three lovely ladies the best of luck as they compete in national pageants on behalf of our country, Malaysia.
