Meet our latest glory Kaviarasi, who fondly known as a Silambam coach and also a dedicated teacher.
Breaking all the stereotypes, with numerous graceful agile moves, Kaviarasi Sanggar paved her way into The Malaysia Book of Records by conducting 14 Hours Non Stop Virtual Silambam Class by an individual.
Being a professional in wielding the Silambam stick, Kavi has proved that women are capable to achieve what they’re passionate about. We could rarely see women who are involved in Silambam, but she has broken those barriers down and revolutionised the Martial Arts industry. Despite defying stereotypes, Kavi’s confidence, hard-work and dedication have pushed her to achieve her long awaited dream.
Despite the challenging year spurred on by the COVID-19 outbreak, the Silambam virtual class was held on 15th August 2021, and has a large number of participants from three countries namely Singapore, India and Malaysia as well.
Silambam is a weapon-based martial art in which the weapon is whirled and struck with passion and lightning speed. It has always been making up a riveting display for the spectators.
At the time, no one thought a woman could make a successful way to the official national record keeper of extraordinary Malaysians, but Kavi surely has proved them wrong!
Congratulations on your unwavering achievements, Kaviarasi!
