Being a student in the midst of a pandemic is not the same as being a parent or a working adult. This new norm would not only be difficult for students to adjust to, but it would also jeopardise their education, whether we like it or not.

COVID-19 clusters have occurred at schools several times, forcing them to close temporarily and postpone national tests such as the Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). The spread of the pandemic has had a significant socioeconomic impact on people’s lives around the world, putting significant strain on education systems.

It has revealed how vulnerable many families are, particularly those from (Group B40), and how unprepared they were to deal with this unprecedented crisis. It is undeniable that online learning can be difficult for the disabled, underprivileged, and marginalised students who have limited resources and lack access to professional guidance on additional classes to help them cover the year’s syllabus.

All of this has led to a significant decline in our educational system.

Even though our country is approaching the endemic phase of COVID-19, it is critical that we remember that online classes are still going on and that proper guidance is even more important as they may be resuming their studies back at school.

Screenshot 2021 09 22 131001With this in mind, Cikgu Janahan Arumugam, who has a forthright experience of tutoring Mathematics to over 5000 students over these past five years, has come up with a fantastic attempt to conduct a free 14-hour webinar for students of all levels.

This program, which will run nonstop for 14 hours, will not only provide free educational sessions, but will also set the record for the ‘Longest Maths Webinar’ held in Malaysia on 10th October, 2021. He refers to this plan as “Project 14”.

The Tentative of the Programme are as follows:

Venue : Pusat Tuisyen Arena Matriks

Medium of Seminar: Zoom Application

Participants: Form 1 – Form 5 Students From Public School

Number Of Participants: 1000 Student

Date: 10th Of October 2021

He merely wants to provide free quality education to everyone, regardless of family income or social background. His prior experience conducting a slew of seminars under the guise of Math Marathon would undoubtedly help him to provide excellent guidance to those students who require it in this “Project 14”.

Let us all come together to support him and share his heartfelt and ultimately potent Project 14 movement to reach out to underprivileged students everywhere.

Also, we sincerely appreciate your efforts in achieving such a result from those students, and we wish you luck in attempting to make this “Project 14” a good and successful one. For more information, get in touch with Cikgu Janahan Arumugam here or Pusat Tuisyen Arena Matriks here.
