Music composer Jay is a household name that requires zero introduction!
Recently, the renowned music composer paved his way to the Lincoln Book of Records for his attempt at conducting a musical marathon for six hours and 40 minutes straight in conjunction with Malaysia Day on 16th September.
Fondly known as Vijayanathan Dhaharasen, the fabulous composer is believed to be the first musician in the world to achieve this feat. A total number of 104 music students and teachers from Malaysia’s 13 states and Federal Territory enrolled in the half day feat, which commemorated the 64th anniversary of the country’s homeland’s independence.
“The prestigious award is bestowed in appreciation of all my 104 music students and teachers across Malaysia for their tremendous efforts in conducting the musical marathon event,” says Jay.
According to Bernama, the performances were presented by kids ranging from six to 15 years of age. The execution of Malaysian patriotic songs, readings and national speeches were composed beautifully by these young hopefuls.
