Aunty Muniatha; Alone and Abandoned, Your Love and Care Would Mean The World

With the country’s economy still reeling from the pandemic-induced downturn, there are quite a number of Malaysians who are still in dire need of help after suffering huge losses such as joblessness and pay cuts, to name a few .

Aunty Muniatha, an elderly woman who has managed to keep up with her life in her own rhythm and grace has been severely hit by the harsh effects brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Hailing from Jalan Bungah, Penang the elderly woman has been living alone for ages and kind souls such as Harith Iskandar, the virtual comedian, emcee and motivational speaker has been constantly helping unfortunate individuals sort out their daily needs.

Taking part in relief efforts, Harith has stated that “Aunty is usually insistent on giving us half of anything we bring for her – “tak payah kasi banyak-banyak kat saya,” she replies with a smile.
