The parents of an eight-year-old are appealing for public donations to help fund their daughter’s surgery. Darshika Sugumaran was diagnosed with ventricular septal defect (VSD) translating to non-medical terms as someone who has a hole in the heart.
Hailing from Penang, Darshika has been receiving treatment at the Children & Child Heart Clinic. Her parents were recently informed that the little girl’s medical treatment would cost RM50,000. The high cost of treatment has put a strain on her parents, hence leaving them with little to no choice but to seek for monetary assistance.
Dr Lim Min Kang, Darshika’s paediatric cardiologist has approved the fund raising in order to treat her. Check out her father’s Facebook’s post below:
Compassionate and kind hearted souls keen to contribute in order to ease the family’s burden of a hefty hospital bill, don’t hesitate to channel the donations via Darshika’s mother’s Public Bank account at 4751270535 (Kanimoli) or contact her at 0149001163.
Every prayer and donation will help the family through this period.
