With his appointment on 3rd October 2021, Danesh Raj Nagarajan became the youngest member in history to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors of the University (LPU), University of Malaya.
Stepping into big shoes at just 26, the young lad was selected for a three-year term owing to his extensive knowledge among UM’s alumni as well as his involvement in numerous programs and student activities during his university days.
Hailing from Semenyih, Danesh’s appointment is effective from 4th October 2021 to 3rd October 2024. University Malaya has released an official statement on the 10 Board Members including the Chairman at the university’s official website.
The 26-year-old young man took to his Facebook page and expressed his gratitude to the institution for trusting him with the responsibility of being a member of UM’s Board of Governors.
“This varsity and its citizens have made me a useful human being! Of course UM and its tradition have a special place in my heart.”
According to SAYS, Danesh represents the university’s alumni, based on his enthusiastic participation in activities and events throughout his undergraduate degree. Even now, he participates in alumni events at UM.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education, Datuk Seri Noraini Ahmad stated that the appointment of Danesh Raj Nagarajan as a Member of the Board of Directors of the University (LPU), University of Malaya is in line with the government’s trust in young people.
