Right now, the Malaysian entertainment industry is doing a great job by producing unique concepts of short films. One of the short films which caught the audience’s attention recently was Anniversary. Produced by Vijaya Suriabagarsam, the plot dives much further into the twist that keeps you guessing and odds are you won’t be right!
Anniversary; this intriguing short film revolves around a couple who celebrate their last anniversary as a boyfriend and girlfriend duo before getting hitched. However, things get complicated when Vinod’s girlfriend finds out some startling secrets about his affair, hence the intense plot twists. Released under Vithi Pictures YouTube channel, the mystery unfolds at the end of this 12-minute short film.
Alfred Hitchcock once said;
“To make a good film, you need three things: the script, the script, and the script.”
And yes, this short film is prove that they have well-sketched the characters matching their characteristics. Helmed by Nandakumaran Nair and Koghilan Ravi, this interesting short film features Aadith Devendren, Ghayathri Mathavan, Shatish Rao and Sheemashini Agilan in prominent roles.
It is both brilliant and intriguing; definitely worth the watch even for the visuals alone. Yet, as you can see in the short film, the confinement is a great opportunity for both impressive colouring and visual effects. If you have yet to watch Anniversary, this might be the perfect bite-size snack for you. It’ll completely blow your mind with its clever climax twists that you wouldn’t be expecting.
