Fondly known as our Malaysia renowned dance teacher and choreographer of Kala Mandir Dance Academy (KMDA) in Kulim, the new record holder one of the brilliant and innovative dance teachers in Bharatanatyam in Malaysia.

Before joining the academy, Tatcani began dancing with guru Senthamarai. Her passion and commitment in the art of dancing began when she was seven years old. She learned dance under Guru Sujatha Kumar and is known as one of the most enthusiastic and naturally talented dancers.

Sujatha Kumar, the founder and director of KMDA, has taken to Facebook to share the victorious moments. Graduated from Srimathi Indira Manickam in Kajang, Selangor, before she went to Tamil Nadu in India to further her dancing skills in Bharatanatyam.

The KMDA is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation of South Indian arts and culture. The primary goal is to preserve, develop, and promote art and culture in order to realise the dream of establishing a culture-conscious society. Classes are conducted in the Indian Classical dance styles of Bharatanatyam as well as folk dances. The dance is taught by a dedicated and experienced teacher none other than the Founder-Director of KMDA itself Guru Srimathi Sujatha Kumar.

In achieving her dream as a dance teacher, she was appointed by KMDA and is currently successfully teaching dance to the younger generation in KMDA branches under guidance of Guru Sujatha Kumar.

She’s not even making her family proud, but also tour community as well. Team Varnam wish you the best for your future ventures and congratulate you on earning a place in the Guinness World Records!
