Lishalliny Kanaran, Malaysia’s torchbearer for Miss Grand International 2021, has arrived safely in Phuket, Thailand, and hopes to earn Malaysia’s first golden crown!
In the 9th edition, more than 60 countries will participate as Thailand welcomes and opens its doors to international tourists from 1st November expecting to recover from the pandemic’s impact and save its tourism sector.
Lishalliny, who is from Shah Alam, Selangor, intends to give her all for the country after winning the national title on her third attempt. The architecture student says the experience has shaped her into a confident young lady who can now represent Malaysia on the international stage. In the previous season, Malaysian Jasebel Robert finished in the Top 10 and won the Miss Popular Vote title in March of this year.
In making this trip more memorable, Malaysia’s premium face mask brand Durio has come to support Lishalliny and fellow Miss Malaysia participating at various international beauty pageants in the past months which include Poorani Rajoo at Miss Intercontinental 2021 in Egypt winning Top 20 and just recently Malveen Kaur at the Miss Globe 2021 in Albania winning Top 15.

From 17 November onwards, Miss Grand International 2021 will see many activities by the delegates throughout the pageant week in Phuket before proceeding to Bangkok for the final stages of the competition where the main events will take place including National Costume Competition (30 November), Preliminary Competition (2 December) and Final (4 December).
