Yet another moment of glory for our beloved nation as Lieutenant Commander Lavendra Jayamohan was conferred the Sir Peter Blake Leadership Award during the graduation ceremony of New Zealand Defense Force (NZDF) Advance Command and Staff Course (ACSC).
Hailing from Sitiawan, Perak, the dedicated officer broke the glass ceiling in the navy field by becoming the first Royal Malaysia Navy (TLDM) officer to receive the prestigious award. Sir Peter Blake is a well-known sailor in the world of yacht, having won all major international races, including the America’s Cup.
According to TLDM’s Facebook page, the award was presented to course participants who consistently showed the highest form of leadership and credibility throughout the course.
