Local talents are constantly proving it on the international arena and this time, Vannam, a Malaysian Tamil short film just added another award to their collection after the main lead of this film, actor Rajandran Murugiah bagged the Best Actor award at the prestigious Rameshwaram International Film Festival (RIFF). (Congratulations)
This happy news was announced by SE Network Production through their official Instagram page.
The honourable Rameshwaram International Film Festival features top films from the world’s filmmakers as well as introduces new, talent from around the world. RIFF mission is to discover high quality and ambitious films, promote filmmakers’ works and help them realise their dreams.
Previously, this film bagged several International Awards. In Uruvatti International Film Festival 2021, this film received two Special Jury Award for Best Director and Best Original Score. In August 2021, this film bagged Best International Short Film Award at the Gona Film Festival 2021. Following that, Vannam has also been awarded for Rising Star Emerging Director in the very well-known Toronto Tamil International Film Award 2021.

Penned and helmed by the talented director Siddharth Thevadason, this film is produced by SE Network. The music score for this film is done by Kumar Arun.
Vannam stars Rajandran Murugiah and Aditi Manoharan as the lead roles along with Sivanesh Logeswaran, Prakash Rao, Shangita Namasivayam, Jegan, Viskwak, and Devaki Malayappan in supporting roles.
This film has a beautiful track that would definitely capture our hearts called Kaatriley. This song is sung by Thila Laxman which adds a lovely touch to this ballad.
