Why don’t we enjoy the end of the year by watching home grown telemovies on Astro? Our indigenous Tamil documentary ‘Antha Naal’ and drama telemovie ‘October 22’ are now available on Astro.
The shows will premiere on Astro Vaanavil HD (Ch 201), Astro GO, and On Demand on 18th and 25th December respectively. ‘Antha Naal,’ directed by Maran Perianen and produced by award-winning local filmmaker Indrani Kopal, shows real-life events and experiences from the 1920s to the 1990s.
Through interviews presented by local talent Kabilan Kandasamy, the documentary explores Malaysian stories of passion, despair, and triumph. Excitingly, every Saturday at 8pm, fresh episodes of ‘Antha Naal’ will air.

The drama telemovie ‘October 22’ stars A. Panneeirchelvam, Sithira Thevi, M.S. Lingam, Batumalai Rajoo, and Jamuna Rani. The plot centres around Selvam, an elderly man who rekindles memories of his school days spent with the love of his life, Chitra. Little does he know that she has been diagnosed with dementia and is unable to remember her past.
Enjoy the premiere of ‘October 22’ on December 25th at 7pm.
