Art lovers, rejoice!

If you have been looking for a way to wrap up the year, we might just have something for you.

ATMA, a mixed media print exhibition by Sivarajah Natarajan, is happening all through December, bringing forth digital images in a juxtaposition of past events and personalities and their timeless message.

This exhibition sees Siva, who is Trustee of Sutra Foundation and Technical & Stage Director of Sutra Dance Theatre, reaching into the depths of his subconscious to bring myths and Puranas to live through this one of a kind ensemble of digital images.

Siva, a pioneer Fine Arts graduate of the Malaysian Insti- tute of Arts (MIA, 1992), is the man who chauffeurs audience between the breezy, colourful gardens of Bhrindavan to the dull, low hanging clouds that glooms over as the Devas fought the Asuras for the Nectar of Immortality.

Within seconds, Siva transports viewers through a spell-binding myriad of settings with his flair in stage lighting and visuals. His unique combination of artistic explorations positions him as an artistic visionary who has forged the visual with the performing art.

Drawing inspiration from his surroundings, Sutra House, ancient scriptures and the innermost recesses of his mind, blurring the lines of time and space, this time, Siva expresses his art through this one-of-a-kind exhibition. The seemingly random juxtapositions of his images confound the senses before the sublime message in his Art is heard softly whispering “we are all little individual souls, textured by our own karmic destinies, uttering different sounds, residing in our separate outer bodies – but all really made of the same stuff!”
