Remember what you were doing at the age of 5?

Neither do we. While most 5-year-olds have only just figured out playing around with their childhood friends, playing cooking games in the backyard and colouring, Kashrav Mahadev has secured a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Most Number of Human System Physiology Described by a Child”.

The 5-year-old intelligent kid has earned the limelight that he truly deserves in the Malaysia Book of Records after he successfully identified the complicated anatomy and physiology of 13 human methods. Passion and dedication were the most important elements which have been displayed by the boy, resulting in his notable achievement.

“Everyone has talent. What’s rare is the courage to follow it to the dark places where it leads.” ― Erica Jong

Hailing from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, the little kiddo’s love for human biology and astronomy started at an early age. The child of Sugendran Palanisamy, 36 and Dr Sharlini Devi Guna Segaran, 35, Kahrav is fascinated by ionic bonds, the cardiovascular system, and the blackhole formation theory. Despite his inquisitiveness on complex topics, he developed curiosity about each and every segment of what he’s learning.

Dr Sharlini told FMT upon discovering his son’s interest,  they introduced their young son to these complex topics simply because they believed a child’s brain could retain large amounts of knowledge.

“I feel it is capable of more than merely doing repetitive tasks. Since he was grasping things fast, I thought why not? But I introduced it in a very child-friendly way”

“In chemistry, we started with the periodic table by listening to a YouTube song. He became even more interested, and things escalated from there,” she further explained.

Behind the glorious achievements, Dr Sharlini has also stated that he’s able to name, draw, colour, and explain accurate details about the solar system, exoplanets, and eclipses to a certain extent, but definitely at a level beyond the age of five.

Aside from being an amazing record title holder, Kashrav has shown his interest in the music field as well. According to his parents, at the age of two, the little kiddo displayed his talent by singing Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’. Perhaps his deep interest in music led him to request for a set of drums from his parents.

It was a proud moment indeed, and he has surely set an inspiration to many other young hopefuls out there which includes myself as a content writer. Team Varnam wishes you the very best of luck in your future plans,  Kashrav!
