The weekend has the power to make a person happy as on that particular day is where most of us get to really rest, invest time in sleeping and binge-watching Netflix of our favourite series or movies.

Did you know that your weekend can be a day of rejuvenation and a chance to recharge your batteries and set yourself up for a fantastic week? It is just a matter of the way you look at that beautiful weekend and how you intend to make full use of it.

Let’s look at how we can use the weekend wisely and beneficially.

Learning to whip up a dish and bake a glorious cake

Let’s start off with something that we all love, FOOD. I’m pretty sure no one gets bored when the term ‘food’ pops out. Rather than ordering food to enjoy on the weekends why not start to make ourselves the desert we love.

It could be both beneficial for your own knowledge and stomach. Baking and cooking classes are almost available everywhere and every platform has blossomed with culinary and patisserie expertise.

So you don’t have to worry about where to find them, book your slots now! But if you’re thinking about saving, you can view the many tutorial  videos that are available for free on YouTube and other platforms. (it is also time-saving as we can find tutorial videos that are less than 1-minute.

Grab your spatula and bowl now!

Learn to crochet knitting

Crochet sounds difficult and impossible to do right? But dear, with the right guidance and patience you are actually capable of completing one whole piece of crochet.

I’m pretty sure know that crochet wouldn’t make it into your to-do-list but trust me once you find out the benefits of knitting, this activity will make it on the first spot of your to-do list.

Knitting is proven to help with anxiety and help to bring calm both to mind and body in times of stress and pain.

As a beginner, you may look into tutorials on YouTube and learn slowly all the important techniques. It is time-consuming but once you have mastered the technique, you may find it interesting.

Who knows maybe you can open your own small business to sell your knitted goods.

Learn new languages

As Malaysians, most of us are able to speak a minimum of 3 languages. Some of us think that it is enough but deep down in our hearts, I guarantee that we wouldn’t mind learning a fourth language! I know I would dig deeper into improving my German.

Let’s use this Sunday to learn a new language. Sit in front of your lappy with a book, a pen most importantly and a cup of hot coffee.

It’s not only about that, you should be persistent about learning. Don’t lose focus.

Spring Cleaning

When was the last time you fully cleaned and tidied up your home? On you last festival season right, now how long has it been since that?

I get you, house chores are boring but it can change with your favourite song playlist. Everything will be easier and more fun to do when we listen to our favourite songs.

Set your speakers and get your brooms.

Invest time by gardening

Gardening is a fun and relaxing way to get in touch with nature over the weekend. If you have zero knowledge about it, don’t worry about that, the lifesaver YouTube is there for you to refer to some gardening tips.

You can even cook your own organic veggies for your loved ones. Who wouldn’t love something that has been made purely by organic and a dash of love?

Start gardening and shower your loved ones with love.

I hope this will trigger you to do something beneficial during this weekend. Have a beautiful weekend everyone!
