The filmmakers of Ajith’s Viswasam have released the first song from the film, aptly called Adchithooku. Composed by D Imman, Adchithooku is an upbeat kuthu dance number sung by Aditya Gadhavi and Narayanan. The lyrics have been penned by Viveka.
Staying true to the village ‘thiruvizha’ theme that Viswasam’s motion posters had to offer, the song is suspected to be Ajith’s introductory dance number.
Visawasam is financed by Sathyajothi films and will be the fourth collaboration between Ajith and director Siva. Nayanthara will be starring opposite Thala.
Director Siva has revealed a few precious nuggets of information regarding the film, in an interview recently. “Viswasam will be an all new format for an Ajith film. It is a complete family entertainer, set in the village of Koduvilarpatti in Theni,” he shares.
Siva also rubbishes rumours that Viswasam has Ajith playing two roles. “It is not a dual avatar film, Ajith sir’s character name is Thukku Durai who is a local ruffian in Madurai and for the first time he will be seen speaking in Madurai slang,”
Nayanthara’s character will not be the usual damsel in distress, according to the director. “Nayanthara who is teaming up with the actor for the fourth time will be seen in a character called Niranjana and it will be a powerful role for her in the film,” he shares. Viswasam will also feature Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah and Kovai Sarala.
The filmmakers of Viswasam appear to be scrambling to gain more hype for the film which is set to be released during Ponggal next month, along with Rajinikanth’s Petta. The audio launch of Petta was held two days ago, and the soundtrack is a hit. Will Viswasam match Petta’s success?
