Tamil Nadu sweetheart Oviya has been busy working on her numerous projects.
She recently played a minor role in Vishnu Vishal’s upcoming movie, Silukkuvaarpatti Singam. The upcoming film also stars Regina Cassandra as well as Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Karunakaran, Livingston, Sai Ravi, Soundararaja, Mansoor Ali Khan and Singamuthu in supporting roles. Silukkuvaarpatti Singam is written and directed by Chella Ayavu
Oviya will also be featured in a song, ‘Dio Rio Diya’. Leon James has composed the music for Silukkuvaarpatti Singam. The movie is set to release on the 21st of December.
Oviya will also star opposite Bigg Boss Tamil winner, Arav in an’extended cameo in his upcoming flick, Raja Bheema. The shooting of a kuthu song featuring Arav and Oviya was completed last weekend in Pollachi.
Her two other movies, Kanchana 3 and 90ML are in the midst of being filmed.
In 90ML, Oviya is the lead actress, while not much information is available on the rest of the cast. The actress will has made her singing debut with the song Marana Matta, composed by actor Simbu, who has taken on the role of music director for the film.
Kanchana 3, on the other hand, will star Oviya opposite Vedhika and Raghava Lawrence. The horror film will also star Kovai Sarala, Manobala, Devadarshini and Sriman. Interestingly, shooting began in October 2017 but the movie will only be released in April next year.
The actress is also working on Kalavani 2. The film is a sequel of Kalavani, with which she pocketed the Edison Awards’ Best New Actress award. Oviya will act alongside Vimal in this flick.
Oviya’s stint as an actress was an unsuccessful one, up until she participated in Bigg Boss Tamil last year. During her stay at the house, she was eventually ostracized by the rest of the housemates and this drew in the fans. Oviya was a favourite in the house, and was predicted to win the show with a landslide victory. Unfortunately, she left before the show ended, citing mental issues.
Fast forward one year, the actress now has her call sheets full and is reportedly unable to take on any new film offers for the time being. You go girl!
