Waking up on a Monday morning is literally dragging myself to the bathroom while being groggy at the same time, a hangover without the booze but YES its real and raw, especially if its a day loaded with pending tasks and incoming work.
If you’re anything like me and the rest of the world, Mondays are truly the worst day of the week.
But the truth is that we are the ones who make Mondays awful. Monday doesn’t have to be so bad if we change our view.
So, let’s begin reciting positive affirmations on Sunday nights in the hope of waking up Monday morning feeling energised and ready to face the day.
“I am full of energy and welcome the day with open arms”
We’ve all experienced the feeling of dragging ourselves out of bed on a Monday morning after a long weekend. Upon that, every pending task will appear in front of you that will drain your energy level quickly that morning.
Have you ever thought that your lack of energy is merely a mindset that you’ve inherited from waking up early?
If that’s the case, using affirmations can help you change your mind. Stretching, do a quick workout, and tell yourself you’re rejuvenated! All you need is to motivate yourself.
“I am intentional with my time and know the difference between what’s a priority and what’s not”
When you consider how much work you have to complete for the week, it can be overwhelming and make you want to avoid starting your day.
It’s important to have effective time management abilities in order to go about your day as efficiently and successfully as possible.
You want to be sure that you are organising your day appropriately, especially on those days when you are extremely busy.
If you begin your day thinking, “I have no idea how I’m going to get everything done,” then you will almost certainly fail.
“I am highly motivated and try hard to get my work done”
Oftentimes, we come across jobs and projects that we aren’t really passionate about.
Whatever it is that you don’t want to do, finding the drive to complete it can be difficult.
Make yourself convinced that you are motivated. Believe in yourself and your ability to work hard and strive to be as self-sufficient as possible.
“I am smart and willing to learn about the things I don’t know”
Sometimes we end up throwing in the white towel because it seemed like all of those things outweighed us.
Rather than worrying on what you don’t know and allowing it to weigh you down, you should concentrate on opportunities to grow.
Your lack of expertise does not stop you from completing the task. You know what, before somebody became an expert at something, they had no idea what they were doing.
Take it easy on yourself and be willing to learn, knowledge will come with time.
“I enjoy what I spend my time doing”
Everybody has something different. Some spend their Mondays returning to the office, attending classes, doing house chores or running errands.
Try shifting your mindset to think that way and tell yourself that you enjoy doing the things that you do. This will eventually result in a happy Monday.
Try changing your way of thinking and tell yourself that you enjoy what you do. This will lead your Monday to be a little different than usual.
Monday doesn’t have to be the week’s most dreaded day.
Positive affirmations can be a great method to engage positive self-talk to turn negative internal thoughts and motivate ourselves to make Monday a great day.
Making the effort to speak positively and motivate yourself, your situation can have a significant impact on your Monday. Get rid off that Monday blues folks.
Happy Monday everyone!
