Double the joy!

Recently, Vitrikashenie Kulasegaran and Vinikasheinie Kulasegaran, also known as The Vs earned prestigious trophies at the Bangamata International Squash Tournament 2022, making everyone proud.

They’re the only sole representatives from Malaysian in this International Tournament.

Hailing from Perak, Vinikasheinie earned the Champion title while the other twin Vitrikashenie joined 3/4 winner of this professional circuit which was held in Bangladesh from 18th until 22nd of March.

In a chat with Varnam, the twins expressed their excitement and are overjoyed about their international feat.

“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in our first international professional circuit. Furthermore, we are extremely proud of ourselves since we have proved to others that we are capable of accomplishing the seemingly impossible,” they said.

These twins, who are the only young players on the professional circuit, stated this competition is very meaningful to them and that this is only the beginning of their success.

The V’s, who are also versatile Indian classical dancers and violinists, emphasised that their triumph serves as a motivator to work even harder in future tournaments.

The girls began their journey in this sport when they were 11 years old, and since then, they have participated in various junior competitions both locally and internationally, leading them to step up their game by taking on the challenge of competing in a professional circuit.

Vinikasheinie and Vitrikashenie, who are currently studying at SMK Subang Utama, stated they had pillars of support whom helped them reach their recent accomplishment.

“Our sponsor, Essem Group, is one of them. They have aided us in a variety of ways to ensure that our participation in this event is a success,”

“Our coach, Efrahim Gul, has also played a significant role in our success, as his direction and effective training have been extremely beneficial to us,” they added.

“Finally, our parents are the most prominent people in our lives who encourage us. They have been by our side throughout this journey, and we want to express our gratitude to them since we would not have been able to get this far in our life without them ,” they convey their appreciation.

When asked about their future plans, these girls stated that their short-term goal is to be in the top 100 in the world by the end of this year, and their long-term goal is to be in the top 10.

Congratulations on your excellent achievement and best wishes on your future endeavours dear twins!
