We have some wonderful news for music enthusiasts, especially those who enjoy Carnatic music.
A Carnatic vocal recital aptly titled Mahadeva, The Endless Devotion accompanied by eminent artists will be held on 14th May 2022, at Kanagasabai Hall, Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur at 7:01pm. This recital is presented by Dhaatri Arts and Damaru Creations.
The endless devotion is a thematic Carnatic Vocal Concert in praise of Lord Shiva of the Hindu pantheon. The entire repertoire will consist of beautifully rare and unique songs depicting the different facets of the Lord, set to colourful raagas (melodic framework) and thalas (rhythmic cycle).
The aim of this concert is in hope of reviving and continuing the legacy of the Carnatic music scene in Malaysia. This the concert will highlight the Bhakti rasa or devotional atmosphere.
The entire act will be presented by “Gaanaamrutha Kuyilini” Bhavani Logeswaran on vocals and accompanied by homegrown esteemed artistes – “Vaadhya Ratnaa Kara” Achyuthan Sashidaran Nair on the violin, “Layaanjali” Muthuraman Ganesan on the mridangam and “Brahma Shri” Aravind Sharma on the Kanjira.
