Let’s take a look at these amazing and empowering women who have blazed in the prestigious Women Icon Awards 2022 list. The mission of organising this award ceremony is celebrated to highlight women who have certainly beaten the odds and risen beyond expectations placed on them.
Ts. Dr. Sharmini Gopinathan – Awardee of Women Icon
Ts. Dr. Sharmini Gopinathan has recently won the Nobel Woman Achiever Award which was proudly organised by Women Icon, in association with Times Women.
Hailing from Seremban, Dr Sharrmini is currently working as a senior lecturer at Multimedia University under the Faculty of Management. Also known as an avid researcher in the field of 21st century learning, innovative teaching strategies, work life balance and information systems, she has nearly 22 years of experience in Lecturing, Training and Development along with highly rated management experience puts her in a position to understand the key role of management facilities.
Besides being a dedicated lecturer, she has also won several awards for best paper publications as well as presentations on effective teaching with blended learning tools.
Dr. Telekha Shanmugam – Director of SLC Logistic & Distribution Sdn. Bhd
Despite enduring numerous hardships, Dr. Telekha has won the Best & Young Women Achiever Award for her flawless skills in the business field. Being specialised under Truck Transportation services, the mother of two, began her career as a clerical clerk at JPSS Trading and Logistics and her personal qualities drove her to make their big idea a reality.
She credits much of her hard-earned success to the company, the director of The Star Transportation and Distribution Sdn.Bhd, Mr Sardar Singh noticed that Telekha has leadership qualities to run a business. Hence, he decided to appoint her as the director for another company, SLC Logistics Sdn.Bhd and it’s been moonlighting for a few years to date.
Everyone wants the decision to be easy or quick, but it will never be. Put in the effort, demonstrate that you’ll keep doing the work even if you’re the only one in your corner. Then go ahead and make it happen. Well, Talekha has proved that her freaking hard work has finally reaped its rewards.
Saraswathy Kanniappan – Founder of Auraa Care Beauty, Malaysia
Saraswathy, fondly known as the founder of Auraa Care Beauty Centre has bagged the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award for her constant dedication towards coming up with organic based skin care products. Purchasing organic products in this era is very hard, but Saras has been making it way too easy for all the buyers out there.
Dr. Salini Devi Rajendran – Senior Lecturer at Taylor’s University, Malaysia
A dedicated academician and researcher for her fellow students at Taylor’s University, Dr Salini has secured the Innovative Leader Award for her contribution in the field of Food Studies and Gastronomy. On the other hand, Shalini has been awarded as a professional technologist by the Malaysian Board of Technologists and chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistic and Transport (CMILT).
Yashomathii – CEO of Yash Beauty Empire
Yashomathii has secured a spot under the Women Icon awardee list by winning the Young Entrepreneur Award.
Dr.Sailakshmi – Astha Health, Malaysia
Herbal Medicine Dr.Sailakshmi has Won Lifetime Achievement in the Healthcare field.
