Visithra has unlocked another milestone!
Visithra Manikam will be representing our country at NFT.NYC 2022 which will take place from the 20th to 23rd June at New York. Moreover, she is the only artist from Malaysia that was invited to speak at the world’s biggest NFT conference.
According to The Vibes, 30% of its speakers hail from 46 countries with the rest from the United States.
The conference, now in its fourth year, brings together the worldwide NFT community of brands, developers, entrepreneurs, gamers, artists, investors, collectors, and enthusiasts in seven venues across New York City, including Radio City Music Hall.
With over 220 collectors worldwide, Visithra is now Malaysia’s biggest-selling verified artist on the OpenSea platform.
She has already exhibited in NFT art exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, and, soon, Liverpool, UK, in less than a year since joining the NFT community.
This art enthusiast previously made a big sensation in the NFT community when she sold three art pieces to international rapper Snoop Dogg on the NFT OpenSea platform.
“I’m extremely thrilled to be invited to talk at NFT.NYC about my artistic career. As a Malaysian artist, NFTs have provided global chances that were previously unavailable to many Asian artists,” she stated.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for very few artists in Asia. Having a Malaysian artist represented on the world’s largest platform for NFTs is a privilege,” she expressed.
NFTs are digitally owned and registered into a decentralised blockchain to represent different assets such as art, collectibles, and more.
More than 1,000 NFT community members are expected to speak at the conference and top projects will be showcased along with new ideas and technologies.
It is a “perfect forum for some of the most interesting speakers within the NFT community,” according to conference co-founder Jodee Rich.
The conference’s basic ideals include giving the community a voice, and speakers are picked for their thought leadership and enthusiasm for NFTs.
One of the biggest names expected to speak at the conference is Swiss-French racing driver Romain Grosjean who competed in the Formula 1 in 2009 and from 2012 to 2020 before his fiery crash in the 2020 Bahrain race. He currently races in the IndyCar series.
