National Middle distance runner Savinder Kaur Joginder Singh made an astounding achievement by winning the bronze medal after clocking in with 2:10.24 in the women’s 800m at the SEA Games 2022 which was held at the My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi recently.
This mind-blowing achievement had eventually motivated the young lass to compete three more SEA Games (Cambodia in 2023, Bangkok in 2025 and KL in 2027).
Being only 25-years-old, the Malaysian athlete has already made headlines by breaking her own record by clinching a gold medal for Selangor in the women’s 800m at the Malaysia Open Athletics GP Championships 2021.
Adding on to her next achievement which was at the Philippines SEA Games in 2019 with having the best record of 2:10.45. The young lass also went on to greater achievements at the Asian Junior Championships in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2016 with setting the best record of 2:11.95.
By setting an inspiration to all the youngsters active in the sports field, Savinder hopes that her success will motivate and encourage them to actively participate in future tournaments.
Congratulations Savinder Kaur!
