Augustus Ralph Marshall has been recently appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Teleport, Capital A Bhd’s logistics venture. Besides that, Marshall is also the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB).
Teleport also elected Olivier Petra, as an Independent Non-Executive Director, to its board of directors. At Unilever, Olivier is a global head of the digital commerce supply chain.
Teleport stated Marshall had earlier served as both group CEO and deputy chairman of Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd, while Oliver has worked with Lazada E-Logistics Malaysia and Lazada Group on building the company’s logistics transport strategy and logistics supplier management.
This newly elected pair will join Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Hanim Hamzah, Bo Lingam, Colin Currie and Pete Chareonwongsak on Teleport’s board to inspect the strategic direction of the company.
“Each member offers their unique set of accomplished talents and expertise as Teleport continues in its aim to deliver things across Southeast Asia better than anybody else,” said Teleport.
Teleport’s CEO, Pete Chareonwongsak, stated that the company has worked hard to guarantee that the board and leadership of Teleport reflect diversity, expertise, and quality, which would help the company’s strategic direction and governance.
“I am delighted that Marshall and Olivier have decided to join Teleport’s board of directors as we continue to grow as a regional leader. Olivier’s strong logistical knowledge, as well as Marshall’s unique business leadership perspective, will enhance Teleport in achieving our objective,” he remarked.
Teleport is the logistics venture of Capital A which was founded in 2018.
