Every year, a different country hosts World Environment Day, as Sweden is hosting this year’s campaign “Stockholm+50” after fifty years. With the collaboration of The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other partners, a high level international gathering were held on June 2 and June 3, 2022, to emphasize most pressing ecological problems.

According to UNEP, the Earth is in the midst of major crisis such as people and wildlife are struggling to adapt to a changing climate, loss of habitat and other pressure mean have put an estimated of 1 million species at risk of extinction, and pollution continues to pollute the air, land and water.

They suggested way to get out of this bind is to reform economies and communities to make more inclusive, fair, and environmentally conscious, which, people must change themselves in order to stop damaging and start healing the world.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has released a practical handbook describing of the collaborative, transformative activities that governments, cities, corporations, organizations, and people can do to protect and restore the environment, with regards to the crisis.
