Remember the first Malaysian woman who was selected to attend the prestigious United States Service Academy, Maryland in 2018?
Yes, a very big spotlight suddenly shone on Janushaa Bala Krishnan Muthiah as she made a history at the age of 19. Thinking of how young she could be at that time but still managed to rise as in a ‘singapen’ in our own motherland.
What makes us have the ‘wow’ feelings right now?
The young yet powerful woman has finally GRADUATED from the U.S. Naval Academy with Class of 2022.
Check out the post by U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur:
Hailing from a family with military background, she furthered her tertiary education at UNPM (Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia) and spent four years in the U.S. Naval Academy. The 23-year-old is among the few women who broke the stereotype by pursuing her dream of becoming navy pilot.
With that being said, Janushaa certainly broke all stereotypes and worked hard for her sky-high dreams. Resonating with dreams, there’s a famous quote by author Norman Vincent Peale which states;
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
Having said that, the U.S Naval Academy is a prestigious institution that is very selective about their candidates. On the other hand, Nadeem Damanhuru Ahmad Damanhuri who was accepted by the US Air Force Academy in Colorado, has also graduated along with the young lass.
Congratulations guys. You have made us proud!
