It’s a delight to watch Malaysians reach milestones and make names for themselves in far higher places.

Recently, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah presented 25-year-old Vilaashiny Thanasingam with the distinguished Anugerah Hadiah Buku Silver Shield Force Security Services Sdn. Bhd award on 18th June 2022.

The other recipient of this same award was Muhammad Faris Irsyad bin Ahmad Nizam. The award has been conferred to them based on the relevance of the program of study to the Silver Shield Force Security Services Sdn. Bhd’s career field.

According to Vilaashiny, she is the one and only Indian student who received the award for this category from Yang di-Pertuan Agong during the 11th Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia which was held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).

Hailing from Beranang, Vilaashiny graduated with a First Class Honours with a CGPA of 3.92 in Logistic and Maritime Transportation.

Vilashiny took to social media to convey her gratefulness.

Clenching a Degree in Logistic and Maritime Transportation, this young lass said receiving the award from Yang Di-Pertuan Agong himself was the most privileged moment of her life which she would treasure for the rest of her life.

She also expressed her appreciation to her parents, friends, and UPNM lecturers, who have bolstered her through the ups and downs of her path.
