Ghilli (2004)
In the hearts of Thalapathy fans, this film has always been one of their all-time favourites. In this action thriller directed by Dharani, Vijay plays the role of a kabbadi player. This excellent entertainer starred alongside Trisha and Prakash Raj, who is most known for his role as “Muthupandi” and phrase “Hi Chellam”. Vijay, with his enthusiastic performance, really stole the stage.

Thuppaki (2012)
Nobody will ever forget army commander “Jagtish” and the specific scene of the sleeper cells execution! This film was a smash hit for Vijay and Murugadoss, and Thalapathy’s decision to make a comeback in a different role was the smartest decision he ever made. Vijay plays a dedicated army officer who went for a holiday, but instead set out on a mission to preserve his country. Vijay’s romance, comedy, and action in the film warms our hearts.

Pokkiri (2007)
This is one of a film in which Thalapathy has a massive fab following, especially for his iconic punchline “oru thadava mudivu panta en pecha nane kekka maaten”, which we all utter at some point in our lives. This film graced us with Vijay’s humour, mass acting, action, and romance. Thanks to Prabhu Deva for providing a wholesome entertainer.

Mersal (2017)
Vijay’s film are known for delivering societal messages to audiences, and this is one of them. Acting in one character is thrilling enough, but Director Atlee offered audience with three different roles for Vijay, made fans go crazy. Vijay plays a classy magician, a kind doctor, and a proud Tamizhan, that melts the fan. Not to forget the comeback of Vijay-Vadivelu combo, adds more masala to the show.

Sachein (2005)
Notably this movie, a lot of us must be Vijay fans from his early 30s. Our hearts are stirred and our faces brightened by Vijay’s portrayal of a pleasant and carefree college student. Inspiring quote “since life is so short, lets make everyone as happy as we can until then”, Vijay’s portrayal in this film continues to be a cure to this day. A remarkable film that makes you emotional.

Official first look poster for Thalapathy 66 is out!
After Beast, now thalapathy is all set for another blockbuster!
Thalapathy 66, the forthcoming movie starring actor Vijay and directed by Vamshi Paidipally, has been buzzing on social media. The title “Varisu”, as well as the film’s first look poster, were announced a day before Vijay’s 48th birthday.
The first look’s tagline is “The Boss Returns”, and Vijay is dressed stylishly in a suit.
Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead. Other actors joining the cast include Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha, Srikanth, Shaam, and Samyuktha Shanmuganathan.
Sit tight, Thalapathy veriyans. On Ponggal 2023, you will witness the mass entry in theatres.
