During the announcement, Dr Noor Hisham also added that the increase in cases also resulted in the rise of people admitted to public hospitals and quarantine centers.

The overall bed occupancy for non-critical cases and utilisation of intensive care unit (ICU) beds remain unchanged for now.

It is also informed that, there are currently 28,151 active cases as of 11:59pm (26th June).
Cumulative new cases : 4,556,664 cases

Meanwhile, MOH also stated that Malaysia has been in the transition to Endemic Phase. This phase change can be achieved following the effectiveness of public health prevention and control measures including the Covid-19 vaccination program for both adults and children in managing the transmission of Covid-19 infection in the country.

Hence, the public are advised to continue to comply with the recommendations and health advice that are often emphasised.
