The Tamil cinema industry is arguably the most versatile film industry in India. From a budget movie to a full commercial mass of masala movies featuring star heroes and heroines you cannot get enough of. Such makes the Kollywood industry stand out.

To be honest, apart from the actors, music, and choreography; dialogues have always played a major role in a movie. Especially, on epic lines from either our comedians, villains and heroes are something that is inevitable. These epic lines have become part of our daily conversations.

1. “Risk edukurathu ellam engalukku rusk sapdra maari” – Thiruvannamalai (2008)

Meaning: Taking a risk is always like eating a rusk biscuit for me…Its very easy.

Mostly used: Even elderly people are using these words in a funny way at various occasions.

2. “Varum…Aanaa…Varadhu“ – Thottal Poo Malarum (2007)

Meaning: Coming but not quite coming just yet

Mostly used: Men, Women, Elders, Kids, Youth – everybody says this dialogue at various contexts and juncture, everywhere. Especially when you order food in a restaurant and they take a longer time to serve your food. Relatable guys?

3. “Vada poche“- Pokkiri (2007)
Meaning: OMG…I lost it (in a funny way)

Mostly used: Universal phrase to express a loss in a funny way.

4. “Nanbenda“ – Boss Engira Baskaran (2010)
Meaning : Oh my best friend!

Mostly used:  No other word is required to irritate a very close friend especially when he agrees to whatever he is asked to do.

5. “Indha kosu tholla thanga mudiyala da” – Suriyan (1992)
Meaning: This person is so irritating and disturbing.

Mostly used: Used mainly by youngsteers when they find someone irritating.
