Being an outstanding student and at the same time shining at an International competition is not an easy feat!

But, look at our Malaysian lil inventor and scientist, Sharvina Sekaran who has made an astounding achievement by taking part in an international competition recently. This time around, she managed to clinch the GOLD AWARD Medal and IYSA Semi Grand Award at the Youth National Science Fair (YNSF) and Youth International Science Fair (YISF) 2022.

Hailing from Klang, the young inventor has solely participated in the prestigious competition. This would be her 2nd International Innovation Competition where a total number of 673 teams from 23 countries were seen taking part in the competition. Spearheaded by the Malaysia Innovation Invention Creativity Association, the competition took place virtually on 15th March 2022.

On the other hand, she has managed to take home gold medals at the virtual ‘International Invention and Innovation Competition 2021 (I3C)’ which was held virtually on the 20th and 21st of November last year. She innovated a Mosquito repellent balm bearing the title of Zodia Army, which is known as a plant-based balm created to repel mosquitoes.

Let’s give a special shout-out to the teachers and also parents who have been continuously supporting them to participate in the competition which is mainly focused on invention, innovation & technology.

Additionally, the 9-year-old is also actively involved in international and national level events, competitions, and projects while remaining as one of the best students in SK Convent 1, Klang. Her enthusiasm in the field of Science has taken her far and she will continue to go further.
