Ranjinder Kaur Hans has successfully joined a prominent US-based PR company that manages high-profile Hollywood celebrities.
Ranjinder has been appointed as a partner at the behind-the-scenes entertainment PR firm EBComs LLCb as well as being promoted to vice president of talent relations and awards.
She who has always been a film enthusiast and loved the entertainment industry since young said “It has been a dream come true to be able to contribute to the industry I’ve always dreamed about as a kid. It is very gratifying and satisfying to know that the work makes a difference in the Hollywood film industry.”
Journey of Ranjinder in the PR world
After completing her A-Levels, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) she later did BSc in Applied Accounting with Oxford Brookes University in affiliation with ACCA.
Ranjinder, an accounting and finance graduate, worked in the accounting sector for five years before deciding to change her career path. Prior to the change in her profession, she was employed at the Asia Pacific Accounting Center of IBM Malaysia.
In 2009, Ranjinder discovered that accounting and finance were not her vocations and that she preferred to engage in interpersonal connection, communication, and creativity.
She had always been enthusiastic about public relations and event planning, so she decided to give it a go, which ultimately led her to work for a Petaling Jaya-based PR firm.
She, who currently resides in Los Angeles, said, “I had to start from the ground up.” Subsequently, she started working at the Sepang International Circuit.
After that, she took the plunge and started her own boutique PR firm called RH PR. She handled publicity for Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s concert in Kuala Lumpur over the course of three years. Thereafter, she relocated to the US to work for PR firm The Ross Group before beginning her employment at EBComs LLC in 2019.
Furthermore, this diligent lady expresses satisfaction in having spearheaded the award campaign that led to her client’s Dune movie winning Best Cinematography at the Oscars and BAFTAs this year.
