After months of planning and preparation, Asia Wedding Works has once again organised such a phenomenal event, bearing the title Pondy Bazaar 2.0 – The Ultimate Indian Shopping Experience and Varnam Malaysia is proud to say that by all measures, it was a great success for the top-tier event experts!

Held at Bukit Kemuning Convention Centre (BKCC) from the 1st to the 3rd of July 2022, the event was an overwhelming success in every way. Just imagine, with a great community spirit and enthusiasm throughout the three-day event, the organiser couldn’t have asked for more than this. A total number of 115 vendors from across the state showcased their products – ranging from hand-woven sarees to mouth-watering Indian snacks.

Speaking to some vendors, one of them stated that Pondy Bazaar 2.0 was a GREAT TURN-OUT!

‘Besides joining Pondy Bazaar for the first time, I must admit that the crowd was massive. I did not expect this much of a crowd and the customers showed their support by purchasing our products.’

Taking things into account, Asia Wedding Works featured 100% Malaysian-owned and run businesses. A variety of traditional clothing, home appliances, skincare products, homemade Henna, prayer items, Ayurvedic products, Crystals, and many more traditional needs captivated the eyes and hearts of attendees.

By providing a platform and space for new or upcoming entrepreneurs, Asia Wedding Works paved the way to help in empowering small business owners and connecting them with the wider community.

Asking about the approximate numbers of people who attended the Bazaar, the core team said that:

‘More than 10, 000 attendees dropped by for the three-day event, and YES, the crowd was really crazy.’

The writer found this would be an awesome initiative to showcase what beautiful choices exist locally – with a zero desire to look elsewhere!

Having said that, we have great tidings to let you guys know that the Deepavali Edition of Pondy Bazaar is happening AGAIN and, this time around, it will be happening at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre, from 29th September till 2nd October 2022.
