TikTok is now the most popular social media platform, with people using it not only to exhibit their talents, but also to find amusement.
It is filled with videos that urge viewers to chuckle and a duo comprising of local Indian content creators have captured the hearts of TikTok viewers with their humorous content.
Last November, the TikTok account thedavids21 began to upload videos promoting the user’s new business “RM2 Murah Jimat” convenience store, known to be a franchise that is quick expanding around Malaysia for people to acquire groceries and basics at a lower price.
In the videos, the user discloses how the store was set up and the goods sold catered to the residents of Juasseh Sentosa, located in Negeri Sembilan.
In March, the TikTok user posted a 45-second video with a new approach that caught people’s attention.

The humorous scenario is acted out in the video, in which a customer asks if the store is open, and the store employee says it’s about to close yet lets the customer in. Infuriated, the shop employee chases the customer into the store as he teases him as he waits to enter. The video ends with the caption “Kita Bukan Ahlong, Kita Murah Jimat Boys Cuma Nak Tolong,” which solicits the store’s operating hours.
Instagram profile of thedavidshere and iamthedavids indicates that the users were content creators who had previously posted various contents. Apparently, no one ever knew they could be interestingly funny, till the partners-in-humour went viral.
From there on, the duo continued to create entertaining contents; nothing fancy but leading the store to the play by conversing in Malay. They even coined a catchphrase “Itu Pun Saya Tengah Go Through“, which easily won over viewers.

Despite the fact that they speak in Malay, their mother tongue “Tamil” appears to pop out here and there, making it more amusing to watch.
