Despite being young by society’s definition, this talented woman has already achieved great success by establishing a sterling reputation in the global music industry.
Impressive strong vocals, captivating performances and talent for songwriting has made Malaysia-born singer-songwriter Heerraa clinches the top honour, the ICon Award for her outstanding performance at the 10th Annual InterContinental Music Awards Competition 2022 (ICMA) on 31st July.
Not only securing the Top award in the prestigious competition but she also sealed another award ‘Best of North America (Pop category)’ for her composition Feel Alive.

For more than a decade, Los Angeles-based ICMA has recognized music talents from every continent and region worldwide by evaluating music entries from a global and ethical perspective by a panel of judges who are active industry professionals and Hollywood music executives. Winners are rewarded with education, prizes and high-quality, direct coaching on how to be successful in the music industry.
The 23-year-old artiste expressed that she is incredibly honoured, speechless and grateful for this opportunity. She also conveyed her gratitude to her loyal fans and her team who have been supporting her mission of changing the world with music.
The Harvard University scholar who is currently pursuing her Degree in Liberal Arts lauded her mentors at ET Ideas, a social business incubator in Malaysia, for helping the young lass discover her ambition of being an international singer-songwriter when she was just 14.

Prior to these accolades, this young lady was named Female Single of the Year (Gold) at the International Singer-Songwriter Association Awards 2021 held in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, during the Rampage Music Awards 2021, Heerraa won the Entertainer of the Year award. This huge feat was a big break and a stepping stone of getting her songs airplay on international radio stations and digital platforms.
