Malaysian students impressed the country when they were awarded with Fulbright scholarships under the Malaysian Graduate Study & Research program in the United States this year!
Thanussha Francis Xavier, Karuna Sarah Thomas and Kyrstal Geevarughese are among the recipients who received the prestigious scholarship on 10th of August 2022.
Thanussha Francis Xavier will pursue her master’s degree in International Relations at Columbia University; Karuna Sarah Thomas will pursue her doctoral study in Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis and Kyrstal Geevarughese expects to get a place to pursue a master’s degree in Transportation Technology at the University of Colorado Boulder.

This much coveted Fulbright scholarship is awarded to deserving Malaysian scholars who have displayed exemplary skills and knowledge in their respective fields and area of study.
To fill you in, Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) role in Fulbright Malaysia is to facilitate and administer grants to deserving Malaysians to pursue their professional development via their nine programs in the US. and to date a total number of 1016 Malaysians have been sent to the United States. Meanwhile, they have also received about 2000 Americans in the country under these programs.
