Day by day, we have the privilege to witness our Indian youths going places in the education sphere.
Recently, Aeryna Andrew Sritharan from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Hervinder Kaur Jaswent Singh from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) were chosen to take part in the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (#UGRAD), which allows them to spend one semester studying at an American university or college.
The Global UGRAD program offers a scholarship to impressive student leaders for one semester of non-degree academic study at a prestigious American higher learning institution. The exchange program participant can anticipate an in-depth exposure to American society, culture, academic institutions, and opportunities to enhance their professional skills.
According to UKM, Aeryna Sritharan, a Year 2 Chemical Engineering student, will start attending Kansas State University in the US in August.
Along with her, Chuah Xin Qian (UPM) and Omar Qayyum Hamdan (IIUM) are also among the students who were chosen to take part in this global exchange programme.
To date, 2008 World Learning has offered this enlightening educational opportunity to over 2,500 Global UGRAD students bringing future leaders to the US to experience their higher education, enhance professional skills and explore new cultures and values.
