It was an exhilarating moment for Malaysia when the team from Kala Mandhir Dance Academy bagged the first place at the International Cultural Conclave 2022 Competition-Festival. Held from 13th till 16th August 2022 in Dubai, the much anticipated competition took place at the Mall of Emirates DUCTAC.

Don’t be fooled by the cuties naïve appearances; their eyes and baby face refute as they have proved to the naysayers that the possibility is endless with mere talent and dedication. Besides depicting the true meaning of talent, they have put Malaysia on the world map.

The founder and director of KMDA, Sujatha Kumar has been a pillar for the non-profit organisation which is dedicated to the preservation of South Indian arts and culture. The primary goal is to preserve, develop, and promote art and culture in order to realise the dream of establishing a culture-conscious society. Classes are conducted in the Indian Classical dance styles of Bharatanatyam as well as folk dances. The dance is taught by a dedicated and experienced teacher none other than the Founder-Director of KMDA itself Guru Srimathi Sujatha Kumar.

Watch the beautiful performance by Kalamandhir senior students:

Each and every step was just beautiful beyond words and we can’t take our eyes off from the video. Congratulations team for continuously making us proud at international levels.
