The periodic table is undoubtedly a common knowledge, but are any of the elements listed on it familiar to you? How many are you able to name? Here, a young champ fully grasped it.
A 9-year-old young lad has set a record in the Kids World Record (KWR) for the fastest recitation of the periodic table.
Aarya Yogarajan, student of SK Bukit Damansara was awarded with a medal and a certificate from Canada under the Boys’ 7 – 9 year old Category on 21st August.
Astoundingly, he succeeded in identifying all the 118 chemical elements in the periodic table in 58 seconds. The record was attempted on April 13th and approved by KWR on May 30th.
According to a Facebook post, his mother, Rathi Devi Athimurthy expressed her gratitude on her son receiving such an honour and the effort made by him to attempt it.
“Early this year, Aarya came to me and asked if he could ever hold a world record, I told him of course he can with a lil hard work. From then, he chose his favourite topic and worked on it”, she wrote.
The record was not an easy win for the bright lad as his determination to thoroughly research the characteristics and purpose of every element made him a deserving candidate to receive this prestigious award.
A round of applause is in order to the mother for encouraging and guiding her son to take the straight road on attaining his goals.
Upon accomplishing this feat, the passionate kid adds to his bucket list, and a desire someday to discover an element and to mark his name in the periodic table.
We cannot wait to witness it someday!
