AR Rahman – Secret of Success ‘Live in Kuala Lumpur 2023’ Is All About His 30 Years of Music Journey

Malaysian AR Rahmanians, the moment you were waiting for is here. After numerous hints, DMY Creation finally unveiled their big announcement. Internationally-acclaimed Indian composer, A.R Rahman is all set to perform in Malaysia after 6 years through a concert aptly titled “A.R Rahman – Secret of Success – Live in Kuala Lumpur 2023”.

This mega spectacular concert will be held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium on 28th January 2023, and is expected to draw an estimated 60,000-strong audience!

This upcoming concert will also feature an amazing line-up of internationally renowned Indian artists along with hundreds of musicians to keep the audience enthralled. Furthermore, this unique concert will be presented through an exclusive stage set-up, the latest and mesmerising audio-visual system and a variety of activities before and after the concert to ensure the audience gets a diverse experience during the concert.

In the meantime, A.R Rahman through his social media account has expressed his joyfulness and excitement to return to Kuala Lumpur and meet his fans who have supported his artistic career to date remarking “Kuala Lumpur has always been close to my heart and I am very honoured to be back in Malaysia and entertain my fans here,”.

A. R. Rahman is an Indian composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician, multi-instrumentalist and philanthropist, who is known as the world’s most prominent and prolific film composer by Time, his works are notable for integrating Eastern classical music with electronic music sounds, world music genres and traditional orchestral arrangements. He has won two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, fifteen Filmfare Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South in addition to numerous other awards and nominations.

During the press conference which was held in Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, the Chairman and Founder of DMY Creation Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff clearly stated that there will be no Day 2 concert since they are doing this on such a large scale. Sharing the stage, Senthil Velavan, AR Rahman’s Associate guaranteed that all Malaysian fans can expect numerous surprise elements throughout the concert.

The Revelation of the Announcement Was Remarkable

Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff unveiled the “A.R Rahman – Secret of Success – Live in Malaysia 2023” concert announcement by performing a Tandem Sky Jump at 10,000ft bearing AR Rahman’s concert poster, Malaysia Truly Asia Flag and DMY’s flag. (Everyone present during the press conference was visually stunned by the effort that was pulled off by Dato Yusoff).

The Malaysia Book of Records recognised Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff’s gutsy effort by presenting the honourable accreditation for achieving the “Highest Altitude Sky Dive From A Helicopter of 10,000ft”.

The Early Bird prices start from RM88 (Mustafa Zone), RM118 (Chikkubukku Zone), RM288 (Jai Ho Zone), RM388 (Mersal Zone) and RM688 (Secret of Success). (All are seated zones)

The tickets will be available on 19th September 2022 from 12.12 pm onwards at www.ticket2u.com.my.

Apart from reviving the music industry, the presence of one of the finest Indian musicians, A.R Rahman in Malaysia also aims to boost the local tourism industry by attracting more foreign tourists to Malaysia to take part in this mega concert.

According to Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff, this concert will be promoted in more than 14 countries including Malaysia, India, Singapore, Dubai, Vietnam, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Thailand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and several other countries through various promotions to attract foreign tourists to Malaysia, whilst being a part of the audience.

“Inspired by the ‘Malaysia Truly Asia” slogan, DMY Creation Sdn. Bhd. would like to use this opportunity to promote Malaysia as a tourist destination and hope to work together with Tourism Malaysia through this upcoming concert.

“Our main objective from this mega event is to market Malaysia as a destination for musical tourism and as a stepping stone for the Malaysian tourism industry to flourish during this post-Covid era,” he said.

Exciting Events Leading Up to the Concert

DMY has planned a list of activities for the launch of this concert including the launch ceremony of the logo, theme and official social media announcement through skydiving/parachuting activities carrying the largest Malaysian flag.

The organisers also plan to hold a high-powered DUCATI motorcycle ride from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka and Kuala Lumpur to Penang titled “Hard Rock Ducati Ride, and a Lamborghini Luxury Car Rally” from Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highlands.

The main coverage of the concert with be held at the Burj Khalifa where a 3-minute LED show will be played on the World’s Tallest Building in regard to A.R Rahman’s `Live from KL’ with Tourism Malaysia and Visit Malaysia 2023 logos. This will directly promote Malaysia at the international level.

“With the continuous support of Malaysians, DMY Creation has successfully distributed 125 films in Malaysia and we now intend to continue the success through organizing mega concerts. So, please keep supporting us,” said Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff.
