Our education ministry always comes up with a handful of measures to strengthen and improve the learning environment.
With that being said, Senior Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin said the government has plans to expand additional language subjects offered at national primary schools in the country.
Radzi Jidin stated that at the moment the ministry is offering three additional communication language subjects namely Tamil, Mandarin and Arabic to students enrolled at national primary schools in the country.
Further explaining he mentioned that this is among the efforts that will be undertaken by the government to make national primary schools the choice among parents.
In a written parliamentary reply, Radzi said “The government will continue to empower Sekolah Kebangsaan through initiatives as outlined in the Malaysia Education Development Blueprint 2013-2025,”
According to him, the ministry has implemented eight measures to strengthen and empower national primary schools.
Apart from providing a complete and quality infrastructure as well as ensuring all Year One pupils master reading, writing and calculating skills, Radzi explained that other measures included holistic student development that included cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects; creating healthy school culture and strengthening implementation of curriculum and sports activities.
Despite various opinions from many, let’s all put that aside and together we strive for the goal where everyone gets equal education and opportunity.
