A round of applause for the selection, Dhines!

Yet another talented soul has spurred people to excel and believe in their dreams. Having said that, Dhineswaran Jayakumar was selected to represent Malaysia at the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition (WSC2022SE) under Restaurant Service Category which will take place on 22nd – 27th October 2022 in Lucerne, Switzerland.

For the 23-year-old young lad, the sky truly is the limit. His coach, Mohamad Jeffri Bin Ahmad offered tremendous motivation and encouragement since his first day of training in 2019.

Born and bred in Rawang, Dhines has been participating in competitions since he joined Langkawi Tourism Academy@Langkawi Community College years back. The recipient of “The Shining Star of 2021” award continues to soar higher after realising his special talent for food and beverage services.

WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition is the official replacement for WorldSkills Shanghai 2022, cancelled in May due to the pandemic. A total of 62 skill competitions will be held over 12 weeks in 15 countries and regions.

Worldskills has built a movement that is changing the lives of young people through skills. They build the confidence of millions of young people, empowering communities and fuelling economies.

We couldn’t be more proud of your notable contributions and achievements, Dhines. Best wishes for your upcoming competition, and keep inspiring the younger ones!
