Nayanthara and Sivakarthikeyan are back with this upcoming film, Mr Local. This comedy was written and directed by M Rajesh. Mr Local also features Yogi Babu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Narayan Lucky, Sathish and RJ Balaji. Hip Hop Thamizha also makes a comeback in composing with this film. .
Going by the teaser, Mr Local doesn’t appear to have much substance. Sivakarthikeyan has returned to his tame-the-outspoken-girl-into-falling-for-me formula. Toxic masculinity at its best! Nayanthara’s character is the cliched rich, bold, adamant woman. There is no prize for guessing what the ending of Mr Local will be. The teaser has garnered 2 million views in 9 short hours.
Mr Local will probably be a fascinating watch to three groups of people. Sivakarthikeyan fans, morons who harass women and the traditionalists who feel that women should be quiet, meek and subservient.
