Tomorrow marks an important day for all men. But why is it receiving very little attention and celebrated with an unseen level of excitement?

International Men’s day falls annually every November 19. With different themes each year, this year it’s focused on ‘Helping men and boys’. The theme mainly highlights on the male suicidal crisis and improvement for men’s health and well-being. The whole concept of men should always be the strongest has to be kept aside as breakdowns often happen no matter what gender it is.

All about International Men Day

It’s the only special day to celebrate manhood. The whole celebration is also to promote basic awareness towards men’s issues. Men are physically strong but sometimes they do face emotional and mental health problems. This day is also important to understand their personal sacrifices for their loved ones and redefining masculinity the right way.

Men in general face a lot of pressure in the living society . As a result, many often expect men to only be providers and abstain from asking for help or sharing feelings. This is unfair, as they are human too and have all rights to express their emotions . And most importantly this international men’s day is to celebrate men’s gender equality.

All men deserves their rights .

Going down to memory lane, International Men’s Day was created years after the establishment of Women’s day. To be exact it was started 30 years ago, in 1992.

Here are some core values to The International Men’s Day’s :

  • To highlight good role models for men
  • To acknowledge the valuable contributions made by males
  • To emphasis the health and wellness of men
  • To draw attention to gender injustice
  • To enhance gender equality and gender relations
  • To build a more secure and better world

With that lets celebrate and spread hope, love, inspiration and thanks for all men and boys this 19 November.

Happy International Men’s Day.
