They shared that one Selangor voter who goes by the name Teewashini ran into this heartwarming moment. She met a Malay aunty who spoke Tamil effortlessly at her polling center SJK(C) Kundang.

Teewashini brought along her grandmother to the polling centre. When Teewashini returned to her grandmother after voting, she saw her grandmother was having a friendly conversation with the Malay aunty in Tamil.

“Ithu than ungge pere pilleya? (Is that your grandchild?)” asked the Malay aunty to Teewashini’s grandmother.

Teewashini was surprised to hear her speaking Tamil as if it were her native tongue.

Engulfed with fascination, she asked the aunty how could she talk Tamil fluently. Then, the aunty discloses some details about her life.

The aunty said she stayed in Linggam Estate in Perak, where she had a large social circle. During that time, she also spent a lot of time with her friends in the estate, where she often wore a saree and took photos.

That’s how she grasped and can speak Tamil fluently,

After getting married, she left the estate and her use of Tamil has declined significantly as she rarely gets to speak that language.

Despite everything, this doesn’t halt the aunty from catching up with her favorite Tamil movies.

Furthermore, Teewashini said that the aunt misses her friends from Linggam Estate and hopes to see them again soon.

Fam, let’s use the power of the Internet and make the aunty’s dream of reuniting with her friends come true. Blast this news!
