Exactly a year after her demise, a handwoven Kota saree that belongs to the late actress, Sridevi, is being auctioned for charity. Online Indian handicrafts platform, Parisera, is hosting an auction called ‘Being Generous, With Sridevi’. The auction is in support of Concern India Foundation where funds will be used for welfare, education and health services for underprivileged communities.
Parisera described Bollywood’s first female superstar’s Kota saree as “light, bright and emanates the perfect essence of Sridevi”. The bid that started at Rs 40,000 has now reached over Rs 130,000.
