13 year old Indian prodigy pianist, Lydian Nadhaswaram, is taking the world by storm with his incredible skills at playing the piano. Lydian appeared on a recent episode of The Ellen Show to perform a masterpiece by Mozart BLINDFOLDED!

In his interview with popular talkshow host, Ellen Degeneras, Lydian spoke with confidence and eloquence as he thanked the producers of The World’s Best and the United States of America for allowing him the opportunity to represent India.

Just 4 years ago, Lydian picked up piano lessons from his father, Tamil cinema music director Varshan Satish, and older sister, Amirthavarshini. Besides playing the piano at mind-boggling speed and while being blindfolded, Lydian can also play different music on 2 pianos at the same time.

Youtube videos have been an integral part in the development of his skills, as Lydian learned how to play Rimsky-Korsakoff’s The Flight of the Bumble Bee just by watching a YouTube video. Lydian now learns piano under the tutelage of Augustine Paul, a veteran music educator and music director of the 125-year-old Madras Musical Association.

The young lad has been invited to speak at prestigious TED talks and has played at many international events including NBC’s Spanish-language TV show Siempre Niños in Miami.

With all these incredible achievements at a tender age, the Mozart playing boy even got a nod from the Mozart of Madras, Academy Award winning music composer, AR Rahman. AR Rahman shared 2 videos of Lydian playing the piano in Los Angeles recently and his 2.8 million followers were all in awe of this young talent.
