Enjoy Thaipusam 2023 Live Coverage With Astro

From temples in Batu Caves, Georgetown, Ipoh, Sungai Petani as well as from around the world will be gracing your home screen

Watching Thaipusam live is something that everyone looks up to every year.

This year, Astro customers can enjoy live Thaipusam coverage on the 4th and 5th February. It will be donning your home screen on Astro Vaanavil (Ch 201) via TV, Astro GO and On Demand. In addition to this great treat, all Malaysians can stream live coverage and enjoy devotional articles on Astro Ulagam, and also, devotional songs on RAAGA.

The live Thaipusam coverage will be hosted by local talents, Meena Kumari, Revathy Mariappan, Magendran, Sivaraj and Kanna Simattri on Astro Vaanavil (Ch 201) at the following times:

  • 5.30pm on 4th February until 12.30am on 5th February
  • 8.30am until 10.30pm on 5th February

Malaysian Temple Live Coverage including:

  • Batu Caves Sri Subramaniar Swamy Devasthanam (Gombak, Selangor)
  • Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Temple (Georgetown, Penang)
  • Kallumalai Temple (Ipoh, Perak)
  • Sri Subramaniya Swami Devasthanam Temple (Sungai Petani, Kedah)

Customers can also enjoy coverage from temples around the world including: 

  • India: Arulmigu Subramaniyaswamy Temple (Thiruchendur), Arulmigu Dandayuthapah Swami Temple (Palani), Arulmigu Subramaniyaswamy Temple (Thiruthani), and Arulmigu Swaminathaswamy Temple (Swamimalai)
  • Andaman: Sri Vetrimalai Murugan Temple (Port Blair), and Arulmigu Balamurugan Tirukkovil (Ratnagiri)
  • Sri Lanka: Inuvil Kandaswamy Temple (Jaffna)
  • Mauritius: Parasakti Peetam Kalikovil (Chebel)
  • South Africa: Sivasubramaniya Temple Melrose (Johannesburg)

Besides, all Malaysians can stream live Thaipusam coverage and enjoy devotional articles via digital platform, Astro Ulagam. On the radio front, Malaysians can enjoy 24-hours of devotional songs on RAAGA via on-air and the SYOK app.
