Hemanth Jayaraman has been appointed as the Head of Marketing for Malaysia Airlines’ loyalty and travel solutions division.

It is reported that Jayaraman joins the company as the Head of Marketing, aiming Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich programme to increase its membership count by 30% this year from its current four million. In a conversation with A+M last year, a spokesperson from the company said that Enrich is looking to become more of a travel and lifestyle programme, rather than a frequent flyer programme.

As a result, Enrich will continue to form new partnerships with businesses such as hotels in the coming year to provide members with more ways to earn and utilise their points. It is uncertain how closely Jayaraman will engage with the Enrich team.

Glimpse On Hemanth Jayaraman

• 15 years of experience in marketing, brand building, brand management, strategic planning, project management, team building, and corporate establishment based in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
• Proven track record in driving transformational changes, building organisational capabilities, managing multiple projects, managing partners, agencies, and suppliers as well as efficient P&L management.
• Strong comprehension of business operations to deliver value and in achieving top and bottom-line results and market share gains.
• Believe in using innovative marketing and creative skills as a critical tool for competitive advantage and is central to building successful businesses and brands.

Hemanth Jayaraman’s Successful Marketing Journey

He was last the head of DentsuX in Malaysia. He joined Dentsu in May 2021 as part of the media service line executive committee. Prior to Dentsu, Jayaraman was at Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia where he worked in the marketing and commercial department for a little under two years.

Before that, he was at PepsiCo for a little over two and a half years where he was the Tropicana activation lead for the APAC region. Here, he led all the APAC markets and enabled them to grow value, and volume share and deliver profitability for the organisation. Before taking up his role as activation lead, Jayaraman was the marketing and commercial manager for Lipton RTDT for Malaysia, Singapore, and Mongolia.  (Reported Advertising+Marketing)

He also was the founder and brand strategy director of Sw1tch Strategies, a boutique agency that started its operations in 2012. He led the agency till 2017.

According to Advertising + Marketing( A+M ), when reached out to both Malaysia Airlines and Jayaraman for more information on the role, neither responded at the time of writing.

Nevertheless, we are pleased to hear this good news, and congratulations on your new position Hemanth Jayaraman!
